BRIDAL MAGAZINE ACCOUNT MANAGERS

Adirondack Weddings, a nationally-acclaimed bridal magazine based in Plattsburgh, is seeking a local account manager to grow our client roster of the region’s best wedding professionals. As the Adirondacks’ one and only newsstand bridal magazine, we are the local wedding authority. As an account manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new quality sponsors that include local venues, florists, bakers, jewelers, photographers, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Winning personality and positive attitude; a “people person” who loves building relationships and making new friends
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Must be comfortable contacting potential sponsors by phone, email, and occasionally in person

Experience not necessary for candidates who meet the above qualifications. Pluses include any or all of the following: knowledge of the local wedding market, prior ad sales experience, proficiency in the Adobe Suite, and a background in business, sales, or marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an account manager, your primary responsibility is to gain new sponsors and drive revenue. You MUST be comfortable prospecting, making cold calls, and sending email. You will quote rate packages with accuracy, keep detailed records, and report directly to the publisher on a weekly basis. Candidates must have a warm, friendly demeanor and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The account manager will also manage client contracts/payments, and serve as the point person for gathering ad materials (i.e., logos/photos/text).
